My main role within my job is managing a handful of suppliers. I am responsible for raising orders and being the first point of contact for my list of suppliers. I am also getting involved in planning our spares production on site.
I would say the biggest skill that I have developed is my communication skills. Being able to communicate is vital within my role, as I will be talking to suppliers and cross functional departments on a daily basis.
I very much enjoy my apprenticeship programme. It has given me the opportunity to work full time, whilst also gaining qualifications along side this. I am very happy with this route that I have taken.
My programme is well structured. I always have time for my college work, and I have been given opportunities within my role to get very involved. The only thing I would like to include in my programme is a bit of time with other departments in the business.
I am very satisfied with the support that I receive from my employer. I am very supported with any issues that I have, and receive great support with regard to my college work.
As previously mentioned, I have always had great support towards my qualifications.
I feel like It has given me a greater knowledge into some arears of my role. The only downside would be some of the topics within my qualification are not relevant to my current role, but they are definitely going to be helpful in the future.
Yes, this is a great positive within our organisation. There is many events, well being events and celebration events that are organised by our company.
Yes
I feel like it is a great company to complete an apprenticeship with. They are very supporting with everything I do, but also trust me to get heavily involved with the work, which has boosted my learning massively.
Get involved with everything that the company offers you as much as possible.
