  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am responsible for writing bids and proposals that are client specific and high-scoring, ensuring the business retains existing contract and is awarded new contracts. I work alongside operational and expert teams to understand solutions and write these up, I work against deadlines in a high stress environment, which requires extensive planning and organisational skills.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learned how to work against a structured bid process, understood governance and have expanded my writing skills, including being able to write specific to the clients needs.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the programme - it provided me with a greater insight as to why I do things, and provided me with the skills and tools to undertake my role in a more efficient and thorough way.

  • Very well organised - regular meetings with support provided as and when required.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • As much support as needed - I am provided with the ability to take study time, and focus on completing tasks associated with the apprenticeship during working hours - apprenticeship requirements are always factored into my work deliverables and expectations.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • A lot of support - I am able to speak to my tutor as and when required, she is very approachable and will answer any questions or queries I have. The lessons I receive are thorough and provide a lot of added value items on top of specified curriculum.

  • It assists me in my role greatly - it provides me with a thorough understanding of my role and the impact it has and provides me with extensive tools to do my job better.

  • Yes - we have lots of opportunities including charitable work, networking events and working groups.

  • It is a great company to work for, with a friendly atmosphere and they are willing to support you in your development and push to give you whatever you need to succeed.

  • Be yourself, showcases your capabilities and be open about your ambitions, they will invest in you from the beginning if you show you are willing.
