I manage the Workbox Twitter and Skills and Business Growth SharePoint, create promo graphics for any events/vacancies/trainings to upload Workbox site. I work closely with a variety of teams such as: Comms; PR; Wolves at Work; IPS; Supported Employment; Digital Experience; Connexions and Careers and Enterprise Company.
I have developed core skills such as: organisation of workload; accurate checking of work; looking out for trends; photo/video editing; content creation > recognising trends in the metrics/data; filming and taking photos; use of various software systems (Adobe Express and Canva).
I would recommend for anyone who is looking to go onto an apprenticeship in the Council.
It has been organised, other than a few changes like moves to other teams due to budget cuts.
I feel very supported by my employer as I have regular apprenticeship meetings with the councils own apprenticeship team to check how i am getting on.
I can’t really comment as of yet. By month 4 of my apprenticeship, my old training provider was no longer offering apprenticeships, and I have since move across to another. I am awaiting to have my meeting with my tutor.
Not sure as of yet
Yes, there are local events in the city and ones the council offer to their employees.
Yes
Apprentices get paid more here at the Council and you feel supported at all times
The advice I would give is to ensure, if you are looking for an apprenticeship, to apply for a post as soon as it comes up.
