  • My role involves me performing daily tasks in a UNIX environment. Such as tickets and Changes on secure accounts. I have availability to complete any Apprenticeship work when needed.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • When I started my apprenticeship, I knew next to nothing about the IT world. Since starting my apprenticeship I have developed so many new skills, such as troubleshooting and network fundamentals.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy my apprenticeship programme, I feel like it is a very comfortable place to work when it comes to balancing hands-on work and apprenticeship tasks.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Really well organised. QA provide you with a full view of your programme at the start of the course.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive a lot of support from Capgemini. Whether that is support from work colleagues in day-to-day work or support when it comes to being short on time for assignments etc. They always support me.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • My training provider provide me with platforms to improve my learning on in order to reach achievements of extra qualifications. They always support me on the apprenticeship course itself too, in order for me to reach my qualifications.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My first year as an apprentice could have been better when it came to matching up a qualification with my actual work. That wasn't something that could have been easily achieved due to me not knowing where I wanted to be. My current course aligns with my role perfectly.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are lots of social activities to take part in. Unfortunately for me a lot of the social activities take place in London areas, which are difficult for me to get to. But are great for people who can easily get there.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Capgemini is a fantastic place for an Apprentice to be. You have plenty of opportunities to connect with individuals who can guide you in your work and provide support whenever it is needed. Everyone at Capgemini is happy to help with any issues I have


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Capgemini?
  • Make networking a priority when you first start. Get to know who your manager is going to be, what team you are in, who your buddy is and set up regular meetings.
