I have learnt what quality control is in food industry and how a warehouse operates Team working skills, people skills, more confidence
I like the course matter so far
It is okay, but organisation could be better. I feel there is a lack of context with some of tasks we have early in the learning plan that aren't explained very well what they actually are or whether they need to be actioned on your own or after a 1-2-1 with your tutor. Also was enrolled on an apprenticeship that has to be done during paid working hours, but unable to submit coursework with work computers and had to use my own devices to upload written work so far. This is something that should have been organised from the beginning of the course.
I have a team leader who has previously done an apprenticeship and understands what it is I'm trying to achieve, and allows me as much time as I can commit, but I am self-leading my study time.
So far we have conducted two online workshops and one 1-2-1 with my tutor. Both my tutor and coach are very knowledgeable and friendly, they have been helpful, but we haven't had much contact as it is early in the course. If I have a problem and let them know, they will try to assist me.
I think it would help better if I was in a team leading role as I could put learning into practice, however, I have learnt about topics that are completely new to me and have better understanding of what it is to be a team leader and team dynamics, which I can use within my day to day work.
Not much, sometimes a football match or bake off for charity but it is a big warehouse with people working all different shift patterns.
