maintaining equipment used in automotive manufacturing. reactive, planned and preventative maintenance work. electrical, mechanical, fluid power disciplines.
i have learnt lots of new skills and seem to learn more every day. additionally i have improved many of the skills i already possessed.
i really enjoy the programme as it is very engaging, hands on and i am always learning. additionally the team i work with makes the job fairly sociable which is nice.
my apprenticeship is well organised, ocasionally things can fall out of place but this is to be expected in any organisation. overall they are a very helpful and resourceful team that are willing to support you and your learning.
i receive a lot of support from my employer with regular catch ups in a group setting as well as on a one to one basis. additionally you can always find the managers to ask for help and they will always do their best to help.
my training provider is very understanding and accommodating. they will always support your learning and help you the best they can. the tutors are good.
my qualification is directly related to the role i do. this means that when i am physically doing the job i have a good theoretical understanding of what's going on as well as allowing me to problem solve easier.
yes there are plenty of extra curricular activity's such as intern/apprentice events, charity teams, apprentice network team.
