I was involved in 2 audits over the course of my placement as well as 4 SRA audits. I was given various EGAs and other activities throughout by my connected developer, who I shadowed on these jobs. In this time I was able to contribute to the teams I was in by doing planning, execute and completion exercises and picking samples, etc.
Over the course of my work experience, I learned numerous new concepts as I went to specialise in SRAs and also deepening my understanding of previous knowledge by being able to apply it to real life situations which helped me gain a deeper understanding of how companies operate. Alongside this I developed my team-working and communication skills as I worked in a team but also communicating with clients.
I thoroughly enjoyed my work experience as I was constantly kept busy by my team either via being given tasks to complete or seeking answers to questions that arose. The teams I was able to work with were all very friendly and knowledgeable on the tasks at hand which made my transition seamless and helped me settle in very quickly, allowing me to enjoy my work experience.
My work experience was very well organised as I was able to work on multiple clients with different teams without any hassle. I was also lucky to be able to shadow a senior member of staff who was very organised and was always there to resolve any problems that arose.
Yes
I would recommend PwC to a friend due to the culture and environment in and around the office. In addition, the work ethic and help received, make it a very enjoyable place to work.
Always ask questions as it will help you to deepen your understanding of what you are working on.
