  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Helping a colleague with Power BI work which includes data quality analysis. Was presented with 2 data sets which I had to filter and reconcile to identify differences and errors and make suggestions on how to improve it. Currently in the middle of planning on how to create a report on Power BI using the data set to improve data quality analysis and present my findings. Also involved in ad hoc work e.g. monthly EFT reconciliations.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Developed Excel skills and a greater understanding on Power BI and Microsoft PowerPoint. Also improved communication skills by networking with people in my team and other employees at BBC.

  • Enjoy it a lot as I'm constantly learning new things and everyone is very nice and supportive and happy to help.

  • Programme seems structured on BBC's side but the learning providers could do better communicating with us in terms of deadlines and what needs to be done

  • Receive a lot of support from my colleagues, managers and scheme leaders as they are all happy to help

  • they provide support but are very vague as to what needs to be done and by when

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • Things I learn from my training provider are applicable and transferrable to my role e.g. reconciliation is a topic in financial accounting - a module I'm doing so learning from them has helped me gain a better understanding and has helped me perform better in my role

  • A lot of societies such as football and other sports and other societies such as Muslim network
