Helping a colleague with Power BI work which includes data quality analysis. Was presented with 2 data sets which I had to filter and reconcile to identify differences and errors and make suggestions on how to improve it. Currently in the middle of planning on how to create a report on Power BI using the data set to improve data quality analysis and present my findings. Also involved in ad hoc work e.g. monthly EFT reconciliations.
Developed Excel skills and a greater understanding on Power BI and Microsoft PowerPoint. Also improved communication skills by networking with people in my team and other employees at BBC.
Enjoy it a lot as I'm constantly learning new things and everyone is very nice and supportive and happy to help.
Programme seems structured on BBC's side but the learning providers could do better communicating with us in terms of deadlines and what needs to be done
Receive a lot of support from my colleagues, managers and scheme leaders as they are all happy to help
they provide support but are very vague as to what needs to be done and by when
Things I learn from my training provider are applicable and transferrable to my role e.g. reconciliation is a topic in financial accounting - a module I'm doing so learning from them has helped me gain a better understanding and has helped me perform better in my role
A lot of societies such as football and other sports and other societies such as Muslim network
