I work within a recruitment team in the HR function, however as part of my role I support our Recruitment Director. I get involved in various people related tasks, such as application screening, interview support, onboarding and handling employee documentation.
I have learnt many new skills throughout my apprenticeship as the tasks have required me to shadow different colleagues so I have had exposure to other areas of the HR function which I might not have done without the course. I have also learnt how to self reflect more and how this is important to continue developing
I have enjoyed getting involved with different projects and learning new elements to the HR function which I haven't learnt in my role - as my role is centred around recruitment getting to know more theory around HR practices has been insightful
The programme is relatively well structured, the webinars and assessments are well balanced to allow time to complete. Sometimes my provider has been troublesome when helping with issues I have experienced, and sometimes I think the content of the webinars could be improved.
I receive a lot of support from my employer in helping me to progress and succeed in the programme. I am offered lots of opportunities to get involved in different projects so I am well equipped in completing assignments
I would say average - when I was experiencing technical issues I struggled to get adequate support from the training provider and took a while and several people until it was resolved. Other than that I have regular meetings with my coach who does provide useful guidance
The qualification helps me to perform better in my role as I reflect a lot on the work I do now which enables me to continuously develop and improve the output of work
No we don't have any social activities at my work
Yes
It is a supportive workplace with plenty of opportunities to develop
