The nature of my daily experience varies for each placement. Generally it will involve processing data to complete metrics, building tools to automate or streamline data handling, creating new metrics and shadowing meetings to gain context.
I have gained many new software skills, some new analytical skills and lots of professional soft skills.
I enjoy much of my day to day work life but I don't enjoy the university aspect.
I would say it's very well organised. Questions are usually answered promptly and even a change of department has disrupted only minimally.
My employer is extremely supportive
The training provider works as best they can around limitations but it is a difficult and ever evolving process
I think the qualification provides context, wider awareness and practice space.

I feel for local apprentices, it's a solid and dependable option
As an apprentice, you get lots of opportunities to ask questions, shadow meetings, and generally experience things that a full employee is too busy to do. Take advantage of the time and get something you can't get at any other stage of employment.
