  • I assist my senior colleagues throughout all stages of the planning applications process, including submitting applications and engaging with the Council. Since I have been on my degree apprenticeship, my role has expanded to include project management and taking the lead on small scale development projects.

  • I have developed my project management skills, my written and verbal communication skills, my understanding of planning processes and my public speaking.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have enjoyed studying and working at the same time, and I have developed numerous skills. My confidence has also grown and I have developed as a planner.

  • The programme is well structured, with training days and opportunities to further my knowledge and skills.

  • I receive excellent support from my employer, through training days and a structured programme

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have now completed my Masters degree with LSBU, and during the course of my Masters, I received very good support.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I learnt a lot on my Masters course, and this has certainly helped with my professional development.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • I have been involved with the Savills Women's football team and Women in Planning network events.

  • I have had a great experience on the degree apprenticeship route, and I have developed professionally throughout this time.

  • Ensure you read about Savills blogs and articles, in order to understand what is going on in the business. I would also advise listening to the Savills Real Estates Insights Podcast.
