Being a member of an audit engagement team. Holding numerous client meetings and auditing Financial Statements
I am a lot more confident in interacting with clients. In addition I have a much better understanding of audit procedures and how a company does its' accounting
I enjoyed my placement when I had work. There were times however where there was a lack of work to do and it then became boring.
It was well organised apart from the lack of work at times. There were a couple of weeks where there was very little to do
I learnt a lot about company culture especially being based in the office. It enabled to me to be more involved in office activities and get to know people who work there
I want to be an accountant
I was paid for this placement. Nearly all business related expenses are approved
There were lots of opportunities for this such as regular social events in and out of the office
Yes
It is a great place to work with many opportunities
Be prepared to work longer hours when in busy season
