As an audit associate, I spent time working in a team to go through different financial statement line items such as Revenue. The work life involved a 9-5:30 shift with daily team interaction eg team catch ups and working together to complete the audit.
I have developed my use of Excel and critical thinking towards judgement of completing tasks for the audit.
I enjoyed being in the same boat as my coursemates and getting to meet different people.
Initial introduction could have been better so that we could feel more welcoming overall. Leaving placement was well organised and having mid check ups with our career coach.
It was insightful to be an employee in the company and being able to shadow senior employees.
Certainly this helped understanding if I can continue in this career in the future which allows for planning my long term career path.
Yes this was a paid placement
Yes the company had an events team that held socials.
Yes
I would recommend the Watford office as there is good company culture and a good working environment with friendly faces. A very non stressful place to work.
Building previous experience and skills to meet the job role will help when applying.
