I oversee the wellbeing and apprenticeship work progress of the apprentices in the Scottish Region studying the L6 Engineering, form y1, but getting more involved from their year 2 of their apprenticeship.
Since I started the program I have become more familiar with differnt coaching models, the foundation principles and the contract rational and requirements.
I do enjoy the flexibility around the learning, the level of demand from it, the level of exposure in my role that allows me to put in practice my learning.
In my opinion, it is quite well structured, and allows us to get to practice the learning and reflect on it and our practice as a coach.
I receive 100% support from my employee, allowing me to organise my workload and find the time and space to work on the units and to practice on the learning.
So far, the support from the provider has been really good and I have been able to get all my questions answered on time.
I believe it would help me to perform unconciously as a coach, as currently I am concious that I am not 100% I am applying the principles of coaching, as "no giving directions", among others, as example.
There are lots of extra-curricular activities to get involved in our Organisation.
Yes
There are plenty of opportunities to grow as professional in the Organisation.
It is an industry where the employees stay in sometimes for their whole professional career.
