I work at PWC as an intern in a team member for audit, where I am assigned evidence gathering activities and am expected to follow a professional and ethical behavior. I also work with the senior members of the audit team on tasks they need assistance with.
Skills learnt throughout the course of the placement : 1. Time Management 2. Enhanced ability to remain focused for long hours. 3. Overall, push myself to finish a task regardless of the hurdles.
I have thoroughly enjoyed working with professionals and have had the opportunity to interact with important people regarding important tasks. All of which helped me understand my capabilities and push me beyond my limits overall.
Very well organised, although the allocation of clients to the interns may need some improvement as sometimes after signing off with one client, the interns are left without work to be done indefinitely, unless they chase for work through different departments. Overall, well structured but may need a bit of improvement.
Received a lot of support by one of my managers and all Senior Associates I have interacted with, as well as my connected development and career coach.
Received a lot of support from my one of my managers regarding working towards my qualifications.
Since, both my qualification and job at PWC are interrelated, I was able to consistently build a connection with both the study material as well as the job performed, allowing me to have a deeper understanding of both.
Lots of social events, however not enough time available to attend the events as the schedule keeps us busy.
Yes
Excellent place to gain experience at the coaching of experts and highly knowledgeable individuals, and also have been treated greatly by PWC consistently. Very grateful to PWC for this opportunity.
Be confident and don't be afraid to work for long hours!
