  • My role is Delivery PMO. On a day-to-day basis this involves managing projects through various tools such as navigator and Jira

  • I have developed a greater proficiency in excel, various project management tools and a greater understanding of how to conduct myself in a corporate environment.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • My first year of my program was unorganised and i wasn't given enough work. This has improved in my second year though.

  • The program isn't very well structured and I think you experience is very dependent on which team you are in.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Again this is dependent on team. So in my first year i wasn't given any support but since changing teams this has changed for the better

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I would say that of which you would expect from a univeristy but i also think the quality of education is poor in comparison to other levels of education

  • I'd say only 20% of my course has any relevance to my role in work.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are many sports activities as well as cultural days to promote the various cultures we have at Radbroke

  • 9a. Would you recommend Barclays to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I wouldn't recommend it in the sense of you will likely make faster learning and career progression at a smaller company but the benefits such as pay and pension as well as the way you are respected in the company I would recommend it.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • I would recommend creating a good network of colleagues. In addition I would say to keep on top of the academic side of the course.
