On a day to day basis I can be on the till or working stock or removing excess cardboard from the shelves. I get time to complete my apprenticeship work in a quiet room 6 hours a week.
From when I started, I have grown immensely as a person building on confidence and social interactions. Aldi have taught me how to handle day to day interactions and efficiency whilst on duty.
I couldnt have picked a better apprenticeship to undertake, in Aldi there are a horizon of skills to improve and adapt to as there are many different areas of interactions during your shift. Aldi have helped me grow as a person on the shop floor and as an individual as well.
Personally, my programme is played out in front of me in stages and I have serval different people to contact if I ever need help with anything during my apprenticeship. I'm shown which bits to do now and what to do another time.
I recieve amazing support from my employer, encouraging me to do really well in my studies and on the shop floor, and motivating me to excel in all areas. The staff understands that it's really important to balance my studies with my retail work.
I also recieve a lot of support from my training provider making sure all my needs are met in terms of meetings and catch-ups and I feel comfortable reaching out to my trainer if I ever need any help.
If I know I'm performing really well in my studies, this will motivate me to match this standard in my role on the shop floor. My trainer liases with an Aldi employee to make sure that the standards are being met on the shop floor also.
Yes, I have been apart of several filming sets for aldi to promote my excellent work as an apprentice and an employee.
Yes
The staff are absolutely amazing to work with, the procedures that we need to follow are easily accessible and laid out in front of us. The pay is the best in the retail sector. Hours are flexible. Managers can relate to you personally do any home based problems are understood and taken care of. Holiday request forms are very easy to get a hold of as well.
Don't be afraid of getting started, be curious and ask the right questions if you're unsure. You'll pick the pace up in no time so just look forward to learning something new!
