How to analyse buildings effectively, the ages and types of properties, how we can protect and convert properties properly. Contract administration and the role of the CA PC and PD within a JCT contract.
Variation in the role, being out on site rather than in the office all week. Learning what i need to know through experience.
The programme is well structured however there is variation in the quality of teaching within the modules of the course.
Good support. I get a study day and I can book time out with my line manager to discuss any concerns or difficult topics.
Good support. there are webinars regarding the APC competencies and the modules themselves are RICS accredited.
It helps me perform better by informing me of the broader role of my work in the construction sector. For example, I learn about contracts in my course and then use a specific contract within my role. UCEM provides an introduction to my more specific work learning.

Well supported. There are good amounts of study time available and they provide support through the graduate team. There are plenty of opportunities to meet up with the other graduates and learn about the APC
Research the company, Make sure you are passionate and/or well read about your role and the role of the APC in your career. Good the RICS approved documents in the field you want to go into.
