  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As Digital Accessibility Analyst I perform regular testing of company digital products, including webpages, documents and mobile apps, as well as internal colleague systems. I also advocate for accessibility throughout the company, supporting with training events and awareness sessions. As well as the above I also support with ad-hoc administrative tasks.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I've learnt a lot about accessibility throughout the course, how to test and remediate issues, accessible design, security considerations, project management and also developed my communication skills and improved my overall confidence.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I've thoroughly enjoyed the programme over the course of the past 2 years, meeting new and interesting people and supporting with implementation of accessibility.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The course was well structured, with each module given appropriate level of time and effort. There were a couple of issues with some parts being too early however the feedback looks to have been taken on board for future cohorts.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer has supported me at every step of my apprenticeship, providing me with more than ample time to complete my studies while doing the modules, and then during the end point assessment period. The whole team has been approachable and available for any support that I've needed throughout.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider has been very supportive throughout my experience, especially Sneha, and I've been afforded lot of time by Dimple while preparing for the various assessments during the end point assessments.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I have utilised the skills that I've learnt while on the course into my day-to-day job, and it has given me the confidence I need to be able to perform my duties effectively.

  • Yes, my employer provides ample opportunities for extra0curricular activities that include various sports, games, crafts, as well as opportunities to network and learn through various networks.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • There is a lot of opportunity at Barclays due to its size and the number of different departments. It also provides wellbeing support and activities beyond the office.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • Barclays values people who can bring their whole self to work so just be yourself and don't be afraid to show what you are capable of.
