driving efficiency by analysing processes, identifying waste, and implementing Lean or Six Sigma tools. Daily tasks include data analysis, facilitating and managing improvement projects, supporting problem-solving, and engaging teams to sustain improvements across departments, ensuring consistent operational performance and alignment with strategic business goals
I have developed many new skills relating to the role as well as more soft skills like effective communication, and have been given countless opportunities to develop more.
Have very much enjoyed my apprenticeship and all of the opportunities and experiences I have been given during it
The structure of the apprenticeship is intuitive, it is project-based and follows the same structure/stages as an improvement project so it walks you through it. My project and the course were not always perfectly 1:1 with progress, but this didn't have much of an impact and support was in place if needed.
Very reliable support from the training & development/HR team. We also have routine forums with all apprentices on site to discuss support, suggest improvements, etc.
Both my tutor and the providers dedicated support team were very helpful and always available.
The qualification has equipped me with the lean, six sigma, project management, and change management tools & skills that i use on a day-to-day basis.
Countless. Anything from internal events, trips, etc., to charity work and networking opportunities. I havent personally participated in them but know colleagues that do and have heard great feedback, especially from family events.
Yes
The people/employees and work environment. Everyone at Lisi was very welcoming when i first started, and it feels like one big team
Lisi places significant importance on team fit -- how well you fit into our team and reflect our values. When applying for an apprenticeship, its not so much what you know or experience you have than it is about your willingness to learn, grow, and become a part of the team.
