I work in a team which deals with the preparation of customs documentation as well as shipment information for imports.
Yes, I have learnt many skills. Communicating with people from many countries as well as how logistics works as a whole. I have also learnt about how to manage workload and prioritise tasks and communication.
I do enjoy my programme, there is much more to learn. I hope to move across multiple teams and continue to develop.
It is organized OK, there could be better routes for development such as moving across more teams but overall it is not bad and organized decently.
A lot of support, they are always ready to help and answer any questions.
I receive good support from my training provider. They tend to be available for messages and any questions.
It does explain logistics as a whole much better and contextualises a lot of the tasks I do. It also explains tasks I don't do and the tasks of teams I am not a part of which helps me to understand their roles much better.
There are a lot of events monthly and ongoing. A book club, monthly baking events, charity football game, littering pick up teams, voluntary charity work and many other networking events.
Yes
Overall, the apprenticeship is quite good and the people who you work with are great. If you work hard, I think you can do well so I would recommend.
I would suggest asking how the apprenticeship is structured/ will relate to your role. Understand that Kuehne and nagel is efficient so there is a lot of teams which can be task specific. So I would advise to ask if you will be given the time to explore different teams.
