The week it split into 3 different sections, placement work, university work and Diploma work (NVQ). During placement work you cycle every 6 months doing a total of 6 placements, Each of which will focus on a wildly different section of the business.
I started the apprenticeship with absolutely no software or IT experience, but over the last 3 years I have grown significantly, averaging first in uni due to the support and education I get form my work placements .
Although you go through tough patches with university, the day to day work is no stress but still challenging with encouraging placement managers and helpful skills coaches.
