I am a client manager for capgemini, which means i work with our clients to support and own sales opportunities. This means day to day i can be client facing, travelling for meetings, supporting bids, working on contracts and bringing teams together to try and win deals.
I have learnt many new skills on my job, It was a new area/profession for me so meant i had to get up to speed quickly in an unfamiliar position, I have learnt demand management, financial modelling, stakeholder mapping, client mangement and more.
I enjoy my programme as it allows me to develop further skills which would take years to learn through my work, it has allowed me to think wider than my role into company strategy and meet people from around the business i wouldn't have interacted with otherwise.
My programme is very well structured, we have a team of people within the business working to coordinate with Henley Business school to ensure that we know what we are doing and we are able to manage our timetables accordingly
I have received lots of support from my employee in how to manage my time and been allowed to allocate time every week into focusing on my apprenticeship work. They are invested in the development of their people which is very appreciated
I receive lots of support from my training provider, they facilitate out of workshop meetings where we can ask any questions about the course & assignments. They also do monthly reviews to check on my progress to ensure i am on track.
I think that it will give me a wealth of knowledge which I can utilise in my work and future career. I have already seen the benefits in internal discussions, where my understandings of topics has improved.
There are many social activities promoted through our work, netball leagues, run clubs, cycling to work schemes and various socials inside and out of the office. It is a very inclusive environment and one where you are encouraged to seek help/support should you need.
Yes
It is a very fulfilling place to work, the culture is one of openness, honesty and integrity. There are many colleagues who have spent their whole careers here due to the culture and opportunities. Development is encouraged and empowered.
I would suggest, do your research, know the area you are applying for, what a typical day would look like, who are the clients we work with, what examples of work have we done. Be relaxed and be yourself, Capgemini likes genuineness.
