  • my role involves being an operator in the packing lines, completing orders, operating machines and running a line to ensure that these orders are fulfilled.

  • i have learnt a lot of new skills including, different types of communication, confidence and resilience

  • i really enjoy my program, there is something new to learn every day and every day is different

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • my program is structured quite well, it is a 3 year course that is split up into 3 different stages where i will be able to go into different types of areas to gain as much experience as possible, the 3rd and final year will be my landing role

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • i receive a lot of support from my employer, they make me feel like i can talk to them whenever i need to, i feel involved in the process and also treat as if i was a permanent member

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • i receive quite a lot support from my training provider, we have regular college days and also progress reviews to make sure that we are all on track and on the same page with each other

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • i gain a lot more knowledge from my training provider that i can apply to my everyday job to make sure that i am becoming better in my role

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • the apprentices have regular get togethers which include different social events such as meals, activities such as bowling and much more, there are also chances for apprentices to go on trips to other GSK sites and also places like the Lake District

  • Yes

  • They have a great apprenticeship scheme which gives everyone an opportunity to succeed and try to land a role as a permanent member of staff


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to GSK?
  • try your hardest in the application process and give 100%. Make sure to research about the company before you apply to know more about it
