my role involves being an operator in the packing lines, completing orders, operating machines and running a line to ensure that these orders are fulfilled.
i have learnt a lot of new skills including, different types of communication, confidence and resilience
i really enjoy my program, there is something new to learn every day and every day is different
my program is structured quite well, it is a 3 year course that is split up into 3 different stages where i will be able to go into different types of areas to gain as much experience as possible, the 3rd and final year will be my landing role
i receive a lot of support from my employer, they make me feel like i can talk to them whenever i need to, i feel involved in the process and also treat as if i was a permanent member
i receive quite a lot support from my training provider, we have regular college days and also progress reviews to make sure that we are all on track and on the same page with each other
i gain a lot more knowledge from my training provider that i can apply to my everyday job to make sure that i am becoming better in my role
the apprentices have regular get togethers which include different social events such as meals, activities such as bowling and much more, there are also chances for apprentices to go on trips to other GSK sites and also places like the Lake District

They have a great apprenticeship scheme which gives everyone an opportunity to succeed and try to land a role as a permanent member of staff
