  • I manage 24/7 security operations at Halfords Head Office and Distribution Centres, overseeing in-house and third-party teams. I ensure colleague safety, control access, conduct audits, investigate incidents, and manage gatehouse operations. I collaborate across departments, support emergency responses, and occasionally deputise for the Security Manager when required.

  • I have learnt to use AI tools, lead performance reviews, and apply leadership models. I have also improved my leadership, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while supporting audits and developing smarter training processes.

  • I’m really enjoying the programme as it’s given me the opportunity to reflect on and improve my leadership style, learn new tools and models, and apply them directly to my role. It’s also helped me develop my team more effectively and grow in confidence as a manager.
