  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Managing the technical support teams who deliver customer support on internally written software applications. This is a varied role as it is responsive to customer needs but I manage a team of approx 30 technical analysts globally to deliver this service.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • When I started the course I had been in a leadership position for over 10 years so the majority of what I have covered was developing existing skills and knowledge rather than learning new skills. There have been some new skills and approaches which have been very useful.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The programme has been great, even though not much has been new it is important to create self reflection and look at what we do, why we do it and how we could do it better. The challenge has always been balancing work and the programme.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme changed tutor halfway through, the approaches of the tutors felt vastly different and the second tutor presented it as a less scary programme to complete and has helped my understanding and helped to get me over the line.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The programme I am on is leadership and management and this is what the core part of my role is, this therefore supports my role directly.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Possibly but am I already involved with those outside of my work being a secretary for a football club and coach for a football team so I tend not to look into things within work.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Klipboard to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Workload is very intense and so this company will not be for all, communication could also be improved at all levels of the business. My recommendation is based on the job security as it is a growing company.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Klipboard?
  • Growth and change will be normal, this will create opportunity so keep your eyes open.
