As an internal audit apprentice, your role involves supporting the audit team in evaluating and improving risk management, control, and governance processes. Daily tasks include conducting audits, preparing reports, assessing risks, collaborating with departments, and handling administrative duties. Your work ensures organisational integrity, transparency, and efficiency, while continuously learning industry standards and best practices.
During my apprenticeship, I have learnt new skills and developed existing ones. For example, I have enhanced my analytical skills through data analysis and audit report preparation. I have improved my communication and collaboration skills by working with various departments. Additionally, I have gained a deeper understanding of risk management, compliance, and industry standards, which are crucial for my role.
I thoroughly enjoy my apprenticeship programme. It provides me with valuable learning experiences and opportunities to develop my skills. The variety of tasks keeps me engaged, and collaborating with different departments is rewarding.

I am not aware of any extracurricular activities at IM but there are several netwroking groups you can be a part of. There are also networking opportunities through social events after work primarily for fee earners but you can be social and do group volunteering.
