  • Throughout the program, my daily tasks changed significantly from producing models and drawings to design coordination, which involves meeting with clients and other teams and producing support documentation, presentations, and reports.

  • I developed many new technical skills in using engineering software to produce models and drawings and greatly improved existing skills like communication and report writing.

  • Overall, I enjoyed the program. However, there were many hard periods due to the increased load from the university and the work expected of me in my free time.

  • Overall, the programme is structured well. However, the university program does not consider the work that the apprentice does in his daily work, which negatively affects how the apprentice is prepared for EPA at the end of the program.

  • Through the programme, my employer was really helpful and provided me with a wide range of support to help me develop skills and knowledge to ensure my successful career and personal development.

  • For most of the program, the provider did not support my progress towards the qualifications.

  • The provided qualification do help me to perform better in my role. However, most of the subjects I completed are unrelated to my role and the department I am working in.

  • In my work, I participated in many extracurricular activities over the course of my apprenticeship program, which helped me gain new skills and knowledge and expand my contact list.

  • As someone who applies for an apprentice role, you are not expected to have much knowledge and experience. Therefore, you need to show that you are keen to learn new things and interested in personal development.
