Daily I engage with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the project. I push jobs through Dynamics ensuring they are at the correct status, check compliance is adhered to on all installs on the SHDF & HUG schemes. I also have close communications with the client and their tenants
I have learnt skills which a project manager needs, using techniques and tools for setting up a project and ensuring the delivery is a success. Building my stakeholder engagement skills and learning who to create and use a business case.
I am really enjoying the programme. It's nice to be learning new skills and being able to implement them into my projects as this makes the modules real and relatable.
The programme is well structed. To start with I felt overwhelmed and unsure as I started in December so people where on holiday and I didn't meet my DLC until after completing project management 101. Once I had completed my first live event, things made sense.
My line manager is very supportive. She allows the OTJ hours weekly and for me to manage my own time. I have reached out to her with questions and we have meetings to go through challenges and workplace projects that I am working on.
We have reviews/calls every 12 weeks. I can reach out whenever I need support to either my tutor or there is an online chat which the team respond to super quick.
The qualification is a career goal for me. I am wanting to take my career to the next level in the future and doing this allows me to learn whilst implementing skills into my daily role. Doing this also gives me the skills for project manager in general and not just in my company.
We often have team days for our department. As we work from home mainly and the office is a little out the way I don't get involved in any outside activates. There maybe some though,
Yes
I feel like the support is there and it's very well structed. The live events are great for putting into practice the online content. I don't feel pressured and feel like I can speak with people at QA and my team.
Do it! It does happen really fast so make sure you are 100% sure of the apprenticeship you are wanting to do.
