For each placement I do tasks set by my placement manager. These task vary dependent on placement but so far have all been engineering related. e.g. CAD work, testing, analysis.
Yes - before starting my apprenticeship I didn't have much knowledge of the day to day work that would entail. I now fell so much more confident when completing work.
I tell everyone that doing the apprenticeship was the better choice for me over full time university. I get hands on experience and a better understanding of how industry works.
MBDA's Early careers programme is really good. They have a variety of different placements for me to go to within the company as well as lots of different development opportunities.
Everyone I have encountered while working at MBDA have been really helpful. I have day release to university every week as well as 5 extra days of holiday dedicated for extra study time.
They are flexible on deadlines which is nice.
It defiantly helps with the theory section of work I do.
Yes - lots of sports teams to join, most departments have their own social events, and the early careers team do organise some networking events for apprentices and graduates.
