  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I work on the Public Website Team, reviewing and updating content across the site. I work with a range of product owners to keep any information about our products and content relevant and up to date.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have developed in confidence which has allowed me to be able to present, communicate with a range of stakeholders at different levels and contribute knowledgably. Also, technical skills such as excel and PowerPoint.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy all aspects of my programme, I find the degree interesting and relevant to my day-to-day role, My role is engaging and challenging, which has developed my knowledge of the retail bank.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Generally well organised, the programme offers 4 placements each running for a year. I have 1 study day per week, which works well. As well as other development opportunities throughout the year and opportunity to progress.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Every apprentice has a dedicated programme specialist within the companies early careers team that I have regular check in's with as well as drop in sessions if additional support is needed. Also the team often run exchange sessions and development sessions that allow for feedback and further learning.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The apprentice provider offer a dedicated talent coach who have a review call every 12 weeks as well as a mid point call. They support with keeping on top of learning hours and making sure I am developing in my role.

  • My qualification has supported my knowledge of the industry allowing me to perform better in my role. Also it challenges me to take on tasks and projects to ensure I am developing a range of skills and building knowledge.

  • Yes, my employer has a range of employee resource groups that you can get involved in, as well as in-office events and team building opportunities and volunteering days.
