Throughout my apprenticeship I have rotated around our different Finance teams and spent several months in each team. This gave me an overview of how finance contributes to the wider business, and allowed me to see which areas of finance interest me the most,
I have learnt how to use Excel formulas, how to raise journals, how to respond to professional emails. I have also learnt soft skills such as communication and teamwork, as well as learning the basic accounting principles and how they apply to real life work.
I very much enjoy working at Tui, and plan to stay here after my apprenticeship is completed. I enjoy the work environment, everyone is very kind and helpful.
Very well organised. I spend 18 months in a Finance role and 18 months in an Accounting role, whilst studying for L3 and L4 AAT.
I have always received time and space to study and revise whenever I need it.
First Intuition is very supportive and has lots of resources to help, such as tutors, online videos, mock exams that are marked by tutors etc.
Learning the basic accounting principles such as debits and credits has helped me massively in my role and made me able to raise journals fluently.
There are social events, such as nights out, and winter/summer briefings where the entire Finance department (300+ people) gets together for an overview of Tui's performance recently. This is often followed by drinks/dinner, and in summer we have a sports day.
Yes
Tui is a brilliant work environment with a gorgeous office in Bedfordshire. Everyone is very supportive, kind and helpful with studying, and it is a very social place to work.
Be yourself, as your personality speaks more for you than any qualifications.
