  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I manage the overall performance and strategy for the Group CRM team. This involves capturing and distributing regular performance updates to stakeholders across the business, at all levels. Beyond that, I own and manage the teams 3-year-plan and recently began supporting projects. I work on a lot of PowerPoint presentations and Microsoft Excel sheets to build reports and share them.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Right from the very start I've learnt so many great, foundational things which I've began incorporating into my daily ways of working. These have transformed the processes for the better. These elements include, but aren't limited to: Proper documentation and a clear breakdown of projects and processes.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • The course materials, set-up and structure is thoroughly enjoyable. I like the teaching style, the pace and the technology used to make learning as straight forward and engaging as possible. Despite it being remote, I've built a great bond with the many people on my programme and the team teaching the course / tutors.

  • 9a. Would you recommend TUI UK & Ireland to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • The best company I've worked for in my 14 year career. The team are all very smart and hardworking, they are full of knowledge, very easy to approach and encourage you to achieve your best. I feel supported and nurtured to succeed in my role and at the same time given the scope to be able to establish a healthy work/life balance. Ultimately, the product and service we're all working to 'sell' are holidays and travel... they are lovely propositions and who doesn't need a break once in a while? So, that attitude and positivity just flows throughout. I really like the business and the team, the culture and the vision.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • With it being such a large organisation, you really want to demonstrate your ability to manage stakeholders, communicate effectively and can grasp data. Experience in travel is a huge advantage but working in organisations which are target driven, efficient and very commercial / finance orientated will serve you well. Having exposure and experience within a travel business also help establish an understanding of the culture and the quirks of the industry.
