The experience and opportunity to learn alongside by my degree was invaluable and I am very grateful for the chance to pursue a career in Town Planning. My role comprises of assessing sites for development opportunity, preparing key documents to support applications, discussing development opportunities with clients, handling cases and liaising with the Council.
I have learnt core time-management skills, improved report writing skills and client-management.
I enjoyed the variety skills and opportunity programme provided. I felt there was a good balance of on the job learning and theoretical learning. The programme could be improved with more support/ clarity on timescales at earlier stages to manage expectations.
My qualification provides me the integral confidence to carry out my role.
