I work in light rail - typically designing rail alignments, producing 3D models and creating figures and drawings.
I have learnt how to use various new software packages and broadened my knowledge of the technical detail within a range of areas in my field.
I really enjoy the work I do and look forward to doing new things as well as furthering the skills I've obtained thus far.
Very well structured - there is a clear path of progression and I am aware of what stage I am at and what will be next.
My employer is very supportive of my programme and there is always colleagues available to discuss and issues or queries I may have.
They are involved in the process and do offer support and advice if requested.
There is some overlap and knowledge that can be applied, however the majority of the detail in my course is unrelated to the work I do day to day.
Yes, there are some extra-curricular activities that are conducted and open for anyone to join in.
