Team member in a team of line chefs. Plating up, cooking starters, desserts, pot wash and deep cleaning
Learnt a lot of new skills in cooking, health and safety training and food preparation
I enjoy the atmosphere of a kitchen and the amount that I'm learning and skills I'm gaining for a promising career
It is very well structured, works perfectly along side my in kitchen shifts and makes weekly coursework very easy to complete
I receive any and all support I need. The team is always able to answer my questions or forward me to someone who can as well as providing me with the time and space neccesery
My training provider is always helpful and easy to reach as well the monthly in person meetings that makes it very easy to communicate any issues or questions
I have learnt a lot about the legislations that apply to me as well as health and safety in the kitchen that helps me to be better at my job
Only annual staff parties for Christmas, other than that there isn't any socialising outside of shifts
Yes
They are very supportive towards their staff and genuinely care about preparing you for a long careers hopefully with them
Don't be afraid to reach out because they genuinely want to assist you in your career and training and don't be afraid to request further training once comfortable. You can only progress if you let them help
