  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a People Administrator Apprentice, I provide general support to the HR team. I gain exposure to HR policies and practices to respond to any employee inquiries and assist with policy updates. I contribute to HR processes such as the onboarding for new employees and offboarding for departing employees, preparation of contracts, induction schedules and ensuring a smooth production within the company overall.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt new communication skills whilst being at Man Group and I have also developed my organisational skills tremendously which has in turn allowed me to, manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously and support my team. I have learned through workday how to handle HR systems and software for tracking employee data as well as how to handle sensitive employee information with discretion and integrity.

  • I would recommend Man Group because since joining I have been able to develop & learn new skills as well as gain knowledge from my colleagues, that I can now apply within my daily work and my everyday tasks. There is strong encouragement for ongoing personal and professional development at Man Group, with access to resources, training, and mentorship opportunities to support all employees. Man Group values diversity and create a workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered to contribute. The environment is fast-paced but balanced, offering employees opportunities to thrive while maintaining a strong focus on well-being.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Man Group?
  • Some of the tips I would give to other is to take the time to understand Man Group’s history, values, and business areas. Making sure to get involved in all of the networking opportunity's that Man Group has to other such as the slack channels, lunch and learns, town halls etc... Lastly be yourself in Interviews, Man Group values authenticity. Be honest about your experiences and goals while showcasing your strengths
