Care assistant - my role is to look after the residents in there home. Such as helping them with there personal care, washing and dressing and assisting them with meals and fluids
I've learnt alot of new skills with completing my course especially with understanding the policies and procedures in place within the home.
I enjoyed the programme and enjoyed learning new things to help me day to day with my job role.
I think it was well organised and I was informed in advance what I needed to do next.
I received alot of support from my employer but sometimes wasn't staff on when I needed to be taken off the floor to have a chat with my coach which meant it was rushed and had to be taken in my own time or on my day off.
[This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] was absolutely amazing. Even when my confidence dropped and I thought I couldn't complete certain modules she pushed me to carry on and saw that I completed them on time and made me feel confident in doing so.
I feel that my qualification has helped me more to perform better in my role as I understand more in my job role and can put what I have learnt through the course in action.
Not that I know of.
Yes
I love our home and it's a lovely place to work. We have a great team at the orchards and a great supporting manager.
Go for it!! 7 years ago I never knew a thing about care. Now I couldn't see me doing anything else. I love what I do. Such a hard but rewarding job.
