Helping out with various different client accounts and contributing towards the progress of their placements, which includes creating/amending different contract documents such as slips and endorsements, responding to reinsurer/client queries, and much more.
I have developed my analytical and attention to detail skills as I work with lots of different forms data, and it is important to apply this skill to ensure no mistakes or errors are made
I enjoy it because I am able to study and work at the same time, learning about the insurance industry and being able to apply this knowledge to my role, whilst gaining valuable experience and skills learning on the job
I think it is very organised by the early careers team and the training provider, because they always inform us ahead of time what to expect with the programme and the timeline of things, and we have had several presentations outlining the overall programme structure
Good amount of support, someone is always there to answer any questions, lots of different people I can go to for support i.e. my manager, early careers coach, my tutor from my training provider.
Support is always on hand easily and quickly, whether it's through an email or a video call, my tutor from my training provider schedules regular calls every month to see how I am getting on with my studies and if I need extra support if struggling
Because it is a well recognised qualification, able to progress with it further down the line with my career, and it covers every aspect of the insurance industry that I can learn about and use the knowledge within my role, can sometimes be a lot to remember though
Regular social and networking events, both internal within the company and also external with other companies so can meet lots of new people, 'Next Gen' events which are for under 30s, regular team social outings and get togethers.
Yes
The company culture and values, they value their staff and it is important for me to work for a company where my core believes align together well, I also like the progression potential here as well, as it is also important for me to be able to progress within my role
To research the company and their values/aims thoroughly, to talk about it within your application and link it to your own experience and skills
