  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • As a resolutions apprentice I deal with customer's complaints on a daily basis. This involves investigating a client's concerns regarding their investment, and coming to a resolution which they are satisfied with. Phoning the customer to build a better understanding of their concerns is also required.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I am enjoying my resolutions apprenticeship. It has given me the opportunity to network with professionals in and out of the business. I like how all the apprentices are the same age and have very similar backgrounds in terms of education (left after sixth form). There are constant opportunities to learn and partake in wider business activities.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is organised, however I personally feel there should've have been more clarity and communication in regards to our qualifying exam. In the job description there is no rough date for when the exam will take place. Hence, we assumed it would be at the end of the 2 years. Our learning provider (fitch learning) has got amazing learning resources, however I think some more communication with them and our process trainer/managers would be better.

  • The support I receive is incredible. Everyone is welcoming and always willing to help

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The support received from fitch learning is good. The skills coach we have been provided with is good, however, he has explained how he has several other apprentices to manage - as a result it is not a very personable experience. I think there should be way more regular meetings too, not just a tick box check in. However, really good learning resources are are provided to help us, and there is always help for us

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I believe gaining the IOC1 will help a lot in performing well in my role. A better understanding of the financial services sector, and different products offered etc.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are a lot of extra-curricular activates to get involved with - there are constant networking events with other companies in the industry and there also fun social activities
