  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role involves talking to new people daily and helping them find the best holiday for them. Also it includes learning new things everyday whether it be to do with holiday destinations or with new systems.

  • I have learnt further about new systems that are used and the background with the likes of booking a holiday. Also I have developed skills with talking to new people daily and gaining confidence in doing so. I have also learnt about the ways people work and how well teams work together

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy my programme because it has benefited me personally with meeting new people. I also enjoy the programme because I have learnt loads and getting to know the company on a bigger scale and has helped me be able to work in a team and better myself which I enjoy.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme is structured really well because you have scheduled in calls with an assessor which helps you keep a check and an eye on your progress. Also, the work schedule is good because you are expected to do 6 hours a week which is highly achievable as well as having modules set which helps you in your everyday role.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive much support from the employer as in the stores we have helpful colleagues that can help and support all days but we also have teams pages where anyone on them will help anyone and give support which is really helpful if you're stuck with work or anyone from your store doesn't know an answer as an example.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • We receive some support from the training provider as if we need any help we can go to our apprentice coach and they will be able to help as of when they can and help us in a good way.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • The training provider helps me perform in my role because all the work set and all the modules made by the provider are always relevant to your daily working life which is beneficial in your performance so the qualification as a whole would make me perform better in my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There are educationals which we can apply for that come up quite often and they allow us to gain knowledge of different places first hand and with other people that are also within the company which is helpful to us.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are a good place to work and you meet good people daily and the main thing is that no day is the same and you never know what is going to happen throughout the day.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to TUI UK & Ireland?
  • I would say to be have a target based mindset and very confident in everything that you do whether it be the interview or the applying stage.
