  • On a daily basis, I work within the Web Development team to create Web App solutions to meet business objectives. I interact with various internal project stakeholders. Also, I am responsible for writing programming code.

  • I have learnt how to operate within a functioning project team, write various programming codes for real-world problems to meeting business needs, and improve my communication skills.

  • I enjoyed getting stuck in with the day-to-day activities of the role and working collaboratively on real-life solutions

  • The course was well structured and I received invaluable support from both the training provider and my employers

  • My employer gave me the necessary off-the-job hours needed to complete the apprenticeship tasks and assigned the relevant people to supervise the work I did.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • The training provider organised regular catch-ups to monitor my progress and ensure I was on course to meet the course objectives. They also provided feedback on my completed tasks.

  • I have been able to apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours learnt in my course to my role in the workplace. It has enabled me to perform better in most aspects of my role.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • My workplace organises "Act of kindness" activities, whereby we volunteer time to help our Animal Centres or do community service as a group. This also serves as a team bonding exercise.

  • Yes

  • I would recommend RSPCA to a friend as the organisation is incredibly supportive in staff development through a variety of apprenticeship programs. And there are regular opportunities to progress your career.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to RSPCA?
  • I would advise prospective candidates to access my organisation's websites, which give insight into the various apprenticeship programs that they offer. Online, there are information booklets, FAQs and guidelines on the application process.
