I currently rotate around the different roles within the Procurement department of TJX. I have completed my rotation in Source to Contract and Procurement, and I am now on my Category Manager role.
Yes, I have developed my excel skills, as well as negotiating skills and teamwork and team building/managing.
I enjoy the day to day tasks, as it is always something different. The program also allows me to have an extended understanding of what every role involves, while also working with other areas of the company to achieve goals and objectives.
The program is well organized and it is clear from the start. I was able to understand the timelines and relevant topics and skills that would be touched on. All while being relevant to my CIPS course.
The employer successfully supports me throughout the program, with various benefits and incentives to achieve organizational goals and personal development objectives.
The training provider is also really helpful, and is able to assist on me achieving the qualification successfully.
The course is relevant to the current role in the rotation, and therefore the knowledge learnt during the lessons, can then be applied in the practical day to day tasks, from contract negotiations to teamwork activities.
Yes, the employer suggests frequently to get involved in social activities throughout the year. Examples can be team bonding activities with the Procurement department, as well as TJX in office events that involve the entire company.
