My day-to-day responsibilities are varied and engaging. I regularly attend a range of meetings including team meetings, business updates, and one-to-one catch-ups, which help me stay aligned with priorities and build strong working relationships. I use tools like Canva for designing content, Excel for tracking data and managing information, and contribute to documentation and planning through writing and editing documents. I also communicate with external agencies to support ongoing projects, write professional emails, and take part in interactive workshops that help me develop both technical and soft skills. Additionally, I’m involved in supporting or creating campaign ideas, giving me hands-on experience in how different elements of marketing come together.
I have significantly improved my prioritisation and communication skills, as well as my ability to take ownership and lead key processes. These developments have been crucial in helping the team work more efficiently and meet deadlines. By clearly identifying and focusing on high-priority tasks, I’ve been able to keep projects on track and aligned with broader goals. Strengthening my communication has allowed me to collaborate more effectively across teams, ensuring everyone stays informed and involved. Taking initiative in leading processes has also helped streamline workflows and ensured that feedback from other teams is gathered and actioned promptly, allowing us to deliver high-quality work on time.
I really enjoy my apprenticeship programme, especially because of the strong support it provides when it comes to completing assignments. The team offers guidance and useful resources, which makes the learning process much more manageable and rewarding. We also benefit from live, interactive sessions that not only support our learning but also encourage collaboration and networking with other apprentices. This has allowed me to continue studying and developing new skills while also building friendships and being socially connected in the workplace. At the same time, I’ve been able to ensure I have the right support from my team, both personally and professionally, which has made a big difference in my overall experience and confidence.

My employer has been incredibly supportive throughout my apprenticeship journey. They actively encourage my growth by helping me identify areas for improvement and continuously motivating me to reach my full potential. One of the most valuable aspects is how they ensure I’m able to apply what I’m learning in the apprenticeship directly to my day-to-day role, which makes the experience both practical and rewarding. I also really appreciate how included I feel in the workplace—despite being an apprentice, my contributions and ideas are genuinely valued. I’m treated as a key part of the team, which has boosted my confidence and helped me feel fully integrated into the work environment.

There are plenty of opportunities to connect and network with others across the business. We have multiple Slack channels that encourage both professional collaboration and casual conversation, as well as informal coffee catch-ups that help build relationships in a relaxed setting. Regular large team meetings and various internal communities also create space for sharing ideas and learning from others. Throughout the year, the business hosts a wide range of events—from festive celebrations like Christmas parties to meaningful cultural gatherings such as Ramadan Iftaar parties—helping to foster an inclusive and vibrant workplace culture. Additionally, there are skill-building workshops and training sessions open to all employees, which not only support personal and professional development but also allow you to connect with colleagues beyond your immediate team.

My advice for anyone applying to Amazon is to be confident and open to learning.
