  • Work on the next prototype engines procuring parts from across the globe.

  • Gain invaluable knowledge on macro environments and the impact is has on project deliverables and also identifying and prioritising key stakeholders.

  • A lot, its rather stressful at times but it shall pay off in the end (I hope!)

  • Extremely! The tutors I have had from QA so far have been extremely helpful.

  • I get one day a week which is dedicated to Uni work, though, if requested the company may be flexible.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • QA have been extremely supportive in both the academic side and apprenticeship side. I honestly can't fault those whom I have interacted with.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • A lot, I take learning from the course and introduce them to the projects daily on goings and process.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There is, too many to list, just recently a group of us got together for some social time.

  • 9a. Would you recommend Cummins to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • No matter where you start there is an opportunity to further your career. It allows people like myself to keep pushing to see what is next in my career.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Cummins?
  • Be honest! I was from a mechanical background and did not know the front nor back of an engine! I was lucky enough to start my first position as a Test Cell technician and learn the physical aspects of the engines.
