first year is based on a college year. last two years have on job training, working on aircraft to evolve our hand skills. it involves extreme precision and reading of the AMM to correctly undertake tasks
i have learned plenty of skills including wire locking and understanding of the AMM. These are life experiences that will set me up for the rest of my career.
i very heavily enjoy my apprenticeship, and the opportunities my employer provide me will be very advantageous into setting me up for the future
in the first year, a few things have been getting changed around and a little bit of confusion has definitely been experienced. however, since this course is still evolving to include separate rotor and fixed wing groups, its very expected
we received a lot of support constantly, and are never shy to help us or assist us if its ever required
i really couldn't ask for anything else. the training provider always makes sure that were on top of our work, and the amount of enthusiasm that the lecturers provide, help to keep us enthused in the topic. absolute 10/10
we need our qualification to get onto On Job Training. however, in the ways of how it will effect our future, it doesn't help all too much. simply obtaining an A license or B license will assist us further
plenty of opportunities for everyone, including STEM events to get involved in
Yes
the amount of opportunities and the chance to work for us a prestigious company, is definitely the best way to get started in the aerospace industry
speak to other apprentices through LinkedIn on how to apply and any tips you should include. i strongly believe that the use of other apprentices, will provide a massive headstart into applying
