I like my university work, however I don't know if this team is for me due to the lack of development opportunities and the hindering of anything else. I feel it's hard to get support, and to be offered to wider my network internally and externally.
6/10 - we didn't know about a pay rise despite being told this in our apprenticeship. We also were not informed in time ahead of our second placements which made the programme feel rushed and not allow us to settle into our new teams smoother.
Depends what the kind of support is that I'm looking for.
Corndel College is very supportive, I have had moments where I am in need of an extension and they have been accommodating to this. They send text messages to respond with your experience - the PDEs are available over email when need be, along with calls.
They provide workshops to check our understanding have regular calls to help support with any issues, provide guidance and clear advice when need be. Regular check ins to improve development, and provide strengths and clear feedback through the working portal.
My team doesn't allow this. If I do so, it is done on my personal time through annual leave. Hence why I mentioned hindering of development. I am however apart of NextGen and EmbRace - our ERGs.
