I am an apprentice technician and I work on vehicles with my mentor and other techs, sometimes I watch him, he watches me, we both do it or I work independently. I also keep the bay clean and organised, I also give myself time at the end of the day to do some online training.
I have learnt a vast amount of new skills to do with working on JLR vehicles or just mechanics in general. I have also learned about the function and names of various car parts and tools.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the apprentice programme I am on. My fellow colleagues at work and the training academy have been a genuine pleasure working with and I always look forward to going on the training courses. I also like the vehicles I get the opportunity to work on.
I think that the apprentice is very organised. All the assessments and training academy times are well structured.
I always recieve support from my employer and coworkers when I need it and whatever they do or say always helps me when I get stuck with something.
From the small training academy time I've had so far, the people there have been very supportive and helpful when myself or the other apprentices have been working. The accessor that comes to my work is also very helpful.
I feel that my qualification definitely helps me perform better in my job role.
I'm not sure.
Yes
I feel that their work/apprentice program is very well designed an thought out in terms of training up people we want or even don't know alot about the motor trade.
Have fun and don't stress.
