basically an engineer which makes stuff out of various materials using lathes, mills and other machinery, as well as some carbon fibre work.
i have learnt so many new skills including carbon fibre and general machining techniques
i enjoy it greatly there is so much i can do here and get help from an abundance of kind people who would help me in any way they can.
it is well structured which leads us to learn so much in the time that we want to learn it, there is no rushing or anything and it also leaves me a lot of time and flexibility to do college work and other things when needed.
i receive a lot of support from my employer on my training and growth in the career.
at the moment we are working towards our qualification, but there was some delay due to being understaffed on their end, so it has delayed up by a year but we are or track now and getting a lot of support to work towards our qualifications
it has helped me a lot to deepen my understanding of the basic training of the job role as well as some more unique qualifications that are needed. but not too much different from what gets taught at work by supervisors or other employees
we get emails every day about extra curricular activities that are going on around the university for both employees and apprentices alike.
Yes
because its so flexible and overall a great experience and learning opportunity that im happy i didn't miss out on becoming an apprentice here.
just do it, i know the application system may look a little old i don't know if they have updated it since i applied but its worth going through it to get an apprenticeship here, i definitely don't regret going through it.
