  • I work at Lloyds Bank as a Business Analyst, and my role is transitioning to a Customer Journey Manager. My day-to-day responsibilities include gathering requirements from a business perspective and passing them on to the developers, ensuring that everyone is on the same page. I have daily calls with my team, which includes the project manager, product owners, developers, and testers, to coordinate and align our efforts.

  • During my apprenticeship, I have learned a lot about different tools and techniques that make my job easier. This has significantly enhanced my skill set and allowed me to perform my role more effectively.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed the programme. I made friends that I still keep in touch with, and I found it easier to learn in groups with people who share the same interests. The collaborative environment made the learning experience more enjoyable and effective.

  • The programme was very well structured. It included face-to-face courses, with the option to attend online, but I found it much more interactive to attend in person. The structure allowed for a comprehensive learning experience, balancing theoretical knowledge with practical application.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I received a lot of support from my employer. One day per week was dedicated to my learning, which was sufficient to go through the courses. Additionally, I attended almost three weeks of face-to-face courses, split into three sessions. This support was crucial in helping me balance work and study.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I had a learning mentor who provided a lot of support and was very prompt in responding to my emails. This mentorship was invaluable in guiding me through the qualification process and ensuring I had the resources and assistance I needed.

  • The qualification built a strong foundation for my role. It equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to perform better and more confidently in my position.

  • Yes, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities at my workplace. These include social activities, trips around the island, sports teams, professional networking events, and volunteering opportunities. These activities provide a great way to connect with colleagues and engage in the community.

  • Lloyds Banking Group has created a safe space for me to develop professionally. I have been treated fairly and given the chance to progress and study for my apprenticeship. The supportive environment and opportunities for growth make it an excellent place to work.

  • For those applying to Lloyds Banking Group, I advise them to read about the company's values, the work they do with charities, and how they support colleagues through apprenticeships. It has been a beautiful journey for me, and I never felt overwhelmed or unmotivated, thanks to the great support from my managers. Understanding the company's culture and commitment to development will help applicants align their goals with the opportunities available at Lloyds Banking Group.
